An extensive background in theater, dance and film inform a distinct style and treatment to stories with complicated subject matter. Liz's work across all mediums is connected deep in her personal life. Her work has been reviewed by the New York Times as “imaginative...both lovely and disturbing.”
Liz was accepted into the Union Docs Summer Lab to develop new work, was a finalist for the 2021 AFI DIRECTING WORKSHOP FOR WOMEN and shortlisted for the NBC FEMALE FORWARD program. She is the recipient of an Asian Women Giving Circle grant.
Liz is a Producer for CYPRIAN FILMS, NEW YORK with credits including TANGO ON THE BALCONY (dir Minos Papas), HARVESTOR GENERATION (in production), and Producer/Co-Director for ‘A PERFECT JOURNEY’ for TUMI/TRIBECA FILM FESTIVAL. Celia-Rowlson-Hall and Mia Lidofsky) and Co-Producer and Art Director for Gojira’s SILVERA music video (Best Music Video Revolver Music Awards dir. Drew Cox).
The dance film Every Moment Alters created with acclaimed choreographer Pam Tanowitz and Pulitzer award winning composer Caroline Shaw will be screened at the Venice Biennale Danza and MOMA in 2021.
2020 NY EMMY award winning SLOW DOWN: RIVER TO RIVER was commissioned and broadcast by PBS as a filmmaker driven experimental short capturing the themes of LMCC’s River To River Festival: deceleration, stillness and reflection.
STRANGERS' REUNION for Ritz Carlton & Hearst was 1 of 5 winning films to be fully funded and produced. Produced by Louis Figgis, Production by RSA Hong Kong, Final Cut New York, Jungle Sound London, Glassworks London, and on set mentoring by Academy Award Nominee MIKE FIGGIS (LEAVING LAS VEGAS). The film was released internationally in 6 languages and is currently in the festival circuit.
